A Half Conscious Life?

A friend mentioned his “half-conscious life” theory to me - that many people are leading a half-conscious life, that many of our choices were made by auto-pilot.

Sounds sad.  But, when come to think about it, there is some truth in it.  Say, have you ever examined why you went to that particular college, studied that particular subject, entered that particular career? Are they your own choices, or, all these just happened by chance? Are you feeling fulfilled being in your position right now, or, are you simply following the path chosen by your parents / teachers / friends?

Do you know what you really want?

If you do not make decisions for your life, life will make the decisions for you.

The rule of thumb of achieving any goal, is knowing what it is.

May be that’s true.  Just like taking a bus, we need to know what our destination is, in order to know whether we’ve broad the right bus.  And, if the bus is heading to the wrong direction, staying on broad for a longer while will still not bring us to where we want to be.

“We don’t have choice in some situations,”  You may think.  Well, may be.  Or, may be there is one, just that it’s not an easy path.

Yes a lot of people feel that they are not capable of more and so never try. They simply need to include mistakes in their definition of success to blow through the problem. Good post
