Film On Saturday - Before Sunrise, Before Sunset
Published August 4th, 2007 in Love, Life, Films.Isn’t everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?
But then the morning comes, and we turn back into pumpkins, right?
You were travelling Europe, on the train to Vienna.
You fell for her at first sight. “Why don’t we travel Vienna together for just one day?” you asked.
You two walked around the city, talked about what ever crossed you minds - love, life, dreams… There were so many similarities, you were made for each other.
You would never forget this day.
It’s dawn and you had to go separate ways. “Let’s meet six months later.” you said.
Couldn’t wait…
Before Sunrise was made in 1995, directed by Richard Linklater, stared by Julie Delpy (Celine) and Ethan Hawke (Jesse), depicting the unforgettable encounter of a French girl and an American young man, both at their early twenties in Vienna.
Did they meet six months later?
Even the director, Linklater wants to know the answer.
Nine years later, in 2004, he made Before Sunset, showing you another encounter of Celine and Jesse nine years after they met in Vienna.
Why didn’t you show up?
Have you forgotten me?
What happened in these nine years?
Were you happy?
Did you find you dreams?
Have you changed?
