Why Not Just Say THANK YOU?
Published September 19th, 2007 in Happiness, Gratitude, Success, Law of Attraction, Thoughts, Life, Belief.Sometimes we would like to be (or, pretend to be) humble.
Say, when we’ve made a great presentation, closed a deal, or performed a perfect golf swing… and people compliment us, we would say, “Oh, just lucky!”
But, is it mere luck? And, why don’t accept the compliment and just say “Thank you”?
Remember:
- If you feel uneasy to accept compliments even though you really have done a great job, it may reflect that indeed your self esteem is a bit low…
- Accepting genuine compliments doesn’t mean that you are egotistical. You know where the thin line is, right?
- Compliment is a gift - when people give it away, they hope you’re happy receiving it. It could be very disappointing if you response, “Oh, you are just too kind. I know my legs are as fat as the pig’s.” when your friend compliment how good you look today.
- Think big. Successful people accept compliments. Can you imagine Donald Trump or Warrant Buffet say “It was just an accident” when people congratulate them for their success?
- The law of attraction - believe it or not, we attract what we welcome. When we welcome good things, including compliments, success and wins, we get more. Why push good karma away?
