Inspired By Inspiring Bloggers
Published September 21st, 2007 in Blogs, Gratitude, Success, Law of Attraction, Business, Life, Thoughts. One blessing that I can’t help repeating about joining the blogosphere is the chance of getting to know the many inspiring bloggers, to learn from them from reading their blogs and even more importantly, from our interactions and discussions.
I am committed…
Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise never have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dream would have come his way.
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I remember my mind flashed a “bingo” sign when I stumbled upon Takuin’s The Rule of 5 the first time for I resonate a lot of what he writes about and it’s simply empowering reading about his goal-setting-achieving account.
Inspired by a countdown for a video game, Takuin challenged himself and 5 bloggers (including me) to pick a goal, set a deadline (27 days from 19 Sep) and just do it. At the end of the 27-day period, we are going to report on how good / bad we have been doing.
Great idea. Goal setting works and if we really want to achieve sth, the steps are:
- determine / define what it is - when we have a destination, we will find the way to get there
- be specific about our goals - so that we can focus
- set a deadline - so that we won’t wander around and waste time and energy
- optional: commit the goal publicly - therefore adding weight on the promise
Ok, so, my goal is related to my business development. By the end of the 27 days I would like to have my first e-shop established and returning profits that is 3 times of the initial investment.
Good luck to you, Takuin on your writing and all the other fellows on the list.
What goes around comes around (sometimes with bonus)…
I have mentioned Tom’s LifeGoalAction more than once in Shine here for I’ve really been inspired by Tom’s sharing. To my surprise I won a prize from Tom for marketing his blog and my award, Seth Godin’s Small Is the New Big: and 183 Other Riffs, Rants, and Remarkable Business Ideas and Free Prize Inside / Purple Cow
(real bonus) have just arrived today. Thank you Tom! Just flipped through small is the new big and found the article on Local Max (The max that may hinder you to reach your big max). Do read the article from Seth’s blog or grab a copy of the book (even better). You will be glad you do.
And Tom, what goes around does come around… : )

Where to find you?
Titus-Armand of of Project Armannd tagged me with a question “where to find you online? Not a super-fan of social networking sites yet, my answers may not be ground-breaking… But interestingly the question probes me to reconsider joining one or two of the sites to get a feel of the latest development of the wave. Anyhow, my answer here:

The part with your goal setting inspired me! My best wishes to you. Looking forward to reading a blog post about the accomplishment.
Thanks for responding to my tag, but there’s something more that you should do about the networking sites links… the current links that you have posted lead only to the networking sites themselves, not to your profile on those sites. And so if anyone wants to add you as a friend or get in touch with you on those sites it’s kinda difficult, if not impossible.
When you have the time and passion to correct them, please do. It will be worth it in the long run of your blog (readers will be able to find you easier).
Dear Armannd,
Thanks for the comments. Have been careless on the links. Will update.
