Make A List of What You Want To Achieve
Published October 1st, 2007 in Success, Life, Thoughts.People make great long lists for parties. They list the napkins and the drinks and the cakes and the cookies to be sure that they have everything they want.
The strange thing is that although people realize that lists work, only about three percent ever use them for putting their life together. For their most important event, their life, most people stumble along blindly, never making a list of what they want, and all the time wondering why they never get it!

Do you know what you want to achieve in life? And, do you list them out? Why, and, why not?
I felt like being punched on the head when I read the above for the first time. How true, we plan for the parties we throw, make long shopping lists so as to hold a memorable event.
But, we don’t even specify what we are going to do with our lives.
Do you decide on the destiny before you board the bus? Or, do you merely boarding the first bus stopping in front of you, and let it carry you to wherever it’s going?
If we don’t decide the direction ourselves, we are like travelling in random - we simply let circumstances make choices for us.
Today, take a piece of paper, or, your diary (even better), and write down the things you want to achieve in life. List one item, 10 items, or even 100 items, it can be the career/position you want to land; the country you want to travel; the weight you want to lose; the books you want to read. List them all out, give each of them a reasonable completion deadline, and check on the progress on a regular basis. You will find that once you pledge to yourselves consciously the things you want to achieve, your mind will find the way to accomplish them.
Try! You will be amazed.

Lists are important. My buddy used to say, “A dream with out a plan is just a dream”. I’ve tried to live by that. Visiting your site is a nice inspiration to stay on track, to re-evaluate a course of action or to consider something that you haven’t tried before. Yay you!
Thanks Jon - My dear friend shared this with me, “When there is a dream, there is a way.”
