The Three Most Important Questions To Ask In Regard To Your Relationships
Published December 17th, 2007 in Life.I was listening to the record of a live seminar with Bill Bartman, “The Billionaire Nobody Knows”, being the guest speaker.
Who should have a name card?
He was there to talk about doing business, and managing employees.
What applies to employee recruitment, retention and management, nevertheless, also applies to all other kinds of relationship.
Afterall, it all boils down to one word:
Respect.
Which employees in your company should have a name card? Everybody should have a name card.
With no exception, people like to be respected, to be appreciated, to feel being important, to be involved. If we treat others with respect, we are treated with respect.
The themostate of your relationships
How healthy is your relationships?
Bill Bartman shared that by asking three fundamental questions, you would know how your relationship with somebody is going:
- Do you like me?
- Do I trust you?
- Are you committed?
(And I think these questions work both ways.)
If your answers to all three questions are “Yes”, the relation that you are reviewing is pretty health. If there is a “No”, the relationship is going down hill.
It’s so simple and true - be it your better half, your business partner, your friends, your family, your co-worker, how good the relationship could be if you don’t like / trust /commit to him or her?
