This is what I believe:  Being grateful for what we already have, is the best way to get more of what we want.

When we are confident, focused, cheerful, we attract like forces.

When we’ve made progress, celebrate!

Still room for improvement?  Work hard and plan smart to make it work.  There is always room for improvement.  Don’t beat yourself up - it wastes your time and it hurts your confidence and energy level.

What you focus on, expends.

You found what you look for.

Snapshots of 2007 (2): Attending Harv Eker’s seminar in Singapore

This is the new year’s eve.  What are you planning to do today?

Why not take half an hour, pull out your calendar / diary / a piece of paper, write down what you’re grateful for in the past year - achievements you’ve made, friendships you’ve built, decisions you’ve made, laughter you’ve spread, great people you’ve met…  Start writing, keep writing - anything worth celebrating that you’ve almost forgot come to your mind?  Keep writing - You’re blessed.

So, what am I grateful for 2007?  Here is my list:

  • Have the courage and determination to quit the job that no more suit me.
  • Started with my business partners two business.
  • Met my investment growth target.
  • Started this blog!
  • Businesses starting to take off.
  • Attended the two extremely enlightening seminars with masters including T. Harv Eker (The secrets of the millionaire’s’ mind), Jay Abraham, Mark Victor Hanson, Andrew Mattews…
  • Discovered one big blind spot in my belief system that have hindered my progress in the past.  (I am truly grateful for this, for awareness is the corner stone for changes.)
  • Formed my master-mind group.
  • Keep bumping into unforeseen circumstances that bought me great opportunities.
  • The many angels (friends, business partners, family) who appeared at the right place at the right time for me.
  • The many great books I’ve read.
  • My loving family.
  • Good health!
  • The trust from people around me.
  • Making friends wherever I go.
  • Positive outlook of life.
  • The chance to try out new experiences, some challenges my comfort zone.

What’s on your list?

Feeling blessed, right?

How about the new year?  How to make it an even better year?

List your goals, list what you want to achieve in the coming year.  Then break it down into quarterly goals, monthly goals, so that you know what baby steps you need to take to arrive your dream land.  Be specific.  Write down the dates and amounts if your goal is a measurable one.  Your goals could be challenging, say buying a house or doubling your income.  It can be personal, say, reading one book per week.  Whatever, write them down.

In the coming year, refer to your goal lists on a daily / weekly / monthly basis to keep yourself focused and your actions aligned with your plans.  Celebrate if you achieve one / made major progress.  Believe me, you’ll find that you achieve more with your goal list keep you on course.

If you do have a shopping list for your supermarket tour, why not a shoppint list for your life (to ensure that you don’t spend your time (and money) and things you don’t really want / need?

A goal properly set is halfway reached.
